The Cradle of Hope Ministry was birthed in 2010 to help fill the needs of families and single parents with babies and toddlers in need of daily essentials such as diapers, wipes, formula, clothes, car seats, cribs, and more. I was made aware of these needs as I worked each week at the local Helping Hands Food pantry.
As each week went by and the need became greater, the Lord placed it on my heart to start a Community Baby Pantry, asking each one in the community and all the churches to come to a baby shower, bringing gifts to stock the pantry. The response was and has continued to be overwhelming. We hold an annual baby shower every March to restock the pantry.
In the eleven years we have been in existence we have never had to turn away a family in need. We run only on donations and there are no grants, state or federal funding. We believe God takes care of His children through the generosity of others and through the fulfillment of His word.
